In this episode, Claire and I talk about the Fictional Hangover Ghost Code: don't lick the walls, don't drink used tea, wear all the hats, don't kiss strangers, and beware of vomit elevators, inspired by our discussion of Horror Hotel by Victoria Fulton and Faith McClaren. The ghost code created in the book was a little better than ours, but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Well we absolutely loved this book and wanted to be a part of it, and this is the best we could do. Here's a picture of us pretending to vomit.
This book was just fantastic. It was full of ghosts and gore and blood and bodies, which, if you know me, you know I love all of those things. So what happens? Chrissy, Chase, Kiki and Emma are YouTube famous ghost hunters owing mostly to the fact that Chrissy is a psychic that can actually see and communicate with ghosts. They decide, in hopes of reaching one million subscribers to their channel, to investigate the most haunted hotel in LA, the Hearst, the site of a mysterious and unexplained paranormal death, to contact Eileen Warren and discover how she died, but instead... something much worse happens. Read the book, check out our summary and listen to our episode to find out all the blood-soaked details!
Until later!
