In our episode this week, Claire and I got to dress up again as we discussed How to Survive Your Murder by Danielle Valentine. We did NOT commit any actual murders, we just want to be clear about that. We really enjoyed this book and dressing up again. Here's a picture.
So why did we like this book so much? It involves actual murder, time travel and at least a billion horror movie references including but not limited to a character that is called Sidney Prescott, yes the Sidney from the Scream movie series. Alice and her sister Claire are super close ... until Claire is murdered on Halloween and Alice witnesses it. A year later, Alice has to go to court to testify against the alleged murderer, but Sidney Prescott arrives to send Alice back in time one year to figure out what actually happened. Is that a good idea? What changes are going to be made when Alice returns to the future? What are the rules of time travel?
