Welcome, Welcome to Caraval...

... beware of getting swept too far away.

In this episode of the show, we're discussing Caraval by Stephanie Garber. The last book in that series (aptly named Finale) comes out in just a couple of weeks, so we want to make sure you're prepared to read it! And what better way to do that than with nice, spoilery summaries from us!

But not here, of course... on the show! It's safe here. No spoilers.

Caraval begins on The Conquered Isle of Trisda with a series of letters written to the Caraval Master, Legend, from Scarlett Dragna. She and her sister, Tella, desperately want to see Caraval; they've heard how great it is! Caraval is a travelling game full of magic and only those with tickets can get in. Well, after seven years of writing and then finally giving up, Scarlett receives three tickets to Caraval. One for herself, one for her sister and one for her fiancé, whom she's never met.

She decides she doesn't want to go, so her sister and a sailor, Julian, kidnap her and sail away. Scarlett is a bit of a worrier, so none of this is good. Upon arrival, Tella gets kidnapped, too, and is now a part of the game and Scarlett can only get her back if she wins Caraval.

THAT IS THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE SUMMARY FOR CARAVAL I COULD EVER WRITE. Listen to the show for WAY MORE details!

Before you go, though, check out these recording pictures! I am way too animated in my facial expressions. Amber's so prim and proper and hardly ever does anything ridiculous! Either that, or she's just rarely looking at her camera. Remind me to make her move it, will you?

Remember! It's only a game!

Amanda
